Russia Ratifies Geneva Act of Hague Agreement on Industrial Designs

On March 29, 2017, the Russian Federation Council approved the Law on Ratification of the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement. The law was signed by the Russian President on April 3 and will enter into force on October 1, 2017.
The Hague Agreement, administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), regulates the international registration of industrial designs. Accession allows interested parties to obtain design protection with a single application in all the countries that are members of the Geneva Act.
