Romanian Customs Seize Fake Gucci, Versace, XerJoff, FC Barcelona Goods

In the period August 17 — September 4, the Romanian customs officials seized perfumes and apparel believed to be counterfeit, valued at approximately EUR 200,000 (USD 260,000).

The seized goods include 1,997 eau de toilette bottles bearing the Gucci and Versace marks, 820 perfume bottles bearing the XerJoff mark, 960 sweatsuits bearing the FC Barcelona mark, 18,000 DVDs and 5,600 CDs.

The seizures were made at the port of Constanta and the Galati county, eastern Romania. The goods originated in China and were intended for the Romanian and Ukrainian markets.

During their recent inspections in the capital of Bucharest, the customs officials seized over 3,000 clothing items believed to be counterfeit and closed down 470 warehouses.
