Ukraine: 1,400 Customs Detentions of Fake Goods in the First Half of 2015

During the first half of 2015, the Ukrainian State Fiscal Service registered nearly 1,400 customs detentions due to the alleged infringement of intellectual property rights.

During the same time period, the customs authorities initiated 13 cases related to the import of IP-infringing goods.

To help protect the owners’ rights, the Fiscal Service maintains a customs register of IP rights that includes copyright and neighbouring rights, inventions, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, appellations of origin, and plant varieties.
