Lithuanian PTO Signs Cooperation Plan with EPO

Jul 31 2014 - 12:39

On June 25, during the meeting of the Administrative Council of the European Patent Organization (EPO) in the Hague, the Lithuanian State Patent Bureau and the EPO signed the Bilateral Cooperation Plan (BCP) for 2014-2016.

Lithuania is the 26th national office that signed the BCP with the EPO.

The BCP includes further development of Lithuania’s PTO’s IT support and information systems, which would help install the e-filing. The plan also includes further improvements in the areas of search, classification and patent documentation.

The BCP also includes the training of local judges and patent attorneys and the qualification improvement courses for the Lithuanian PTO employees.
