Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia Join TMclass

May 27 2015 - 13:32

On April 20, 2015, the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia, the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the State Office of Industrial Property of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) joined TMclass, a joint project between the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) and the IPOs of member states.

The goal is to provide a common online classification tool where national offices can publish their official lists of goods and services and allow trademark applicants to search for and translate classification terms and compare the classification databases of all participating offices.

These latest additions bring a total of 45 national and regional IPOs, including OHIM, WIPO and OAPI, into the tool, whose users can translate the terms to and from any of the 45 available languages, now including Serbian Cyrillic, Bosnian and Macedonian.
