The Madrid Protocol will enter into force with respect to Uzbekistan on December 27, 2006

Like most member countries, it has chosen 18 months as the period for automatic
protection.

The accession to the Madrid Protocol by Uzbekistan brings the number of members of the Protocol to 70.
