Maya Filipova Demireva

    • Maya advises clients on trademark, industrial design and patent prosecution and enforcement. She prepares, files and prosecutes applications before the Bulgarian Patent Office and handles oppositions and cancellation actions. Maya also works with the Bulgarian police and customs authorities on IP infringement disputes, and is experienced in litigation and administrative dispute resolution.

    Before joining PETOŠEVIĆ in 2023, Maya worked for almost 12 years at the Bulgarian Patent Office as a lawyer and a Dispute Department panel member. In that period, she dealt with a variety of cases concerning register operations, IP litigation, as well as ex parte and inter partes administrative proceedings related to trademarks, industrial designs and patents. Maya was also involved in legislative initiatives and took part in several EUIPO projects.
