Ukraine Adopts New Copyright Law

A new Law on Copyright and Related Rights entered into force in Ukraine on January 1, 2023. This is the first major copyright legislation change in Ukraine since 1993, introducing numerous important changes. Most of the novelties are intended to harmonize local legislation with that of the EU.

The new Administrative Instruction (AI) on Trademark Registration Procedures No. 08/2023, which entered into force in Kosovo on August 14, 2023, addresses the most important changes brought by the new Law on Trademarks, in force as of July 2022.
Ukraine Adopts Amendments Strengthening IP Rights Protection

The Law on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Strengthening the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights entered into force on April 15, 2023, amending several IP-related laws and the Civil Procedure and Commercial Codes.
WIPO Resumes UA-DRP Proceedings

On July 1, 2023, the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center resumed its domain name dispute resolution services under the .UA Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UA-DRP) with certain adjustments in view of the martial law in Uk
