Mihajlo Zatezalo Lectures at IP Workshops in Bosnia

PETOŠEVIĆ Serbian office Director Mihajlo Zatezalo was invited to present at three awareness-raising IP workshops in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of the EU-funded project, main objective of which is to improve capacity of the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina by establishing centers for information and education at the lnstitute’s head office in Mostar and in the branch offices in Sarajevo and Banja Luka.

These three centers aim to assist in the overall development of the Bosnian IP system and in raising public awareness and understanding of IP and its significance. The training programs offered by the centers address the needs of all the key players in IP protection in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mihajlo Zatezalo lectured on the national system of IP protection and shared valuable information on the registration and protection of patents, trademarks and designs, as well as on the use of patent information databases.

The first workshop was held in the Innovation Centre Banja Luka (ICBL) on November 4, followed by the second workshop in the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo on November 5, and the non-governmental organization Foundation for Innovation and Technology Development (INTERA) in Mostar on November 6.

Participants from various universities, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well as larger companies had the opportunity to learn new information and incorporate it in their IP protection strategies.
