Aleksey’s practice focuses on trademark prosecution and enforcement in Russia, Belarus and other countries of the Russian-speaking region. He prepares and files documents before the Russian Intellectual Property Office, responds to office actions and provisional refusals and drafts licensing agreements and cease and desist letters. Aleksey also works with the Office of the Prosecutor General, and collaborates with Russian customs and police authorities on the surveillance, seizure and destruction of counterfeit goods.
Prior to joining PETOŠEVIĆ in 2019, Aleksey worked at another Russian intellectual property firm, where he focused on trademark enforcement for a well-known international sports organization, which he successfully represented in court in 31 cases. He has also held presentations on behalf of his clients at training seminars across Russia aimed at educating local customs and police officials on how to recognize counterfeit products.
