We are looking for an Intellectual Property Paralegal to join our Hungarian office.

Responsibilities:
• Creating and maintaining prosecution records in database;
• Preparing, filing and prosecuting trademark, patent, or other IPR applications, including handling of office actions;
• Handling recordal of changes before local IPO;
• Maintaining IP rights (renewals, annuities);
• Assisting in due diligence and in-use investigations;
• Assisting with customs seizure reports and related matters;
• Assisting in portfolio integration;
• Translating texts from local language to English and vice versa.

Requirements:
• College or University degree;
• Excellent and professional command of English language (both written and verbal);
• Two years of experience as Paralegal and/or in the intellectual property field;
• Detail oriented;
• High sense of responsibility;
• Ability to work independently and manage various projects with minimal oversight;
• Good time management skills and ability to prioritize and utilize resources as available;
• Strong computer skills, not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

We are also looking for a Patent Attorney Assistant to join our Ukrainian office.

Responsibilities:
• Assisting a Patent attorney in conducting patent searches and analyzing scientific and/or technical documents to establish novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability of inventions;
• Translating patent documents from Ukrainian and Russian into English and vice versa;
• Assisting in preparing, drafting and filing patent applications;
• Assisting in preparing reports on and responses to office actions;
• Handling cases in the electronic database, monitoring deadlines, communicating with clients in English.

Skills & Requirements:
• University degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or Biotechnology;
• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken);
• Desire to develop a career in Intellectual Property field (experience in Intellectual Property is not obligatory but welcome);

Responsibilities:
• Advising clients on IP protection and enforcement strategies;
• Preparing and filing writs for the courts or local administrations;
• Representing clients before Courts and Enforcement authorities;
• Performing and supervising investigations;
• Handling Customs matters: preparing and filing applications for Customs watching, reporting seizures and handling any further actions related to seizures;
• Handling oppositions, cancellation, revocation actions, or any other contentious actions before local administrations;
• Responding to questionnaires and producing legal opinions for various IP forums and organizations.

Requirements:
• Law School University degree;
• Admission to Bar;
• Capacity to represent IP right holders before the Courts and Enforcement authorities;
• Excellent command of English language (both written and spoken);
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Intellectual Property field;
• Detail oriented;
• High sense of responsibility;
